What a wonderful week Year 10 have had. Some students have definitely made up their mind that this is the type of work they would like to do, others are a definite no. Mr Dawson and myself visited many students on Construction sites this year, from a $60K granny flat in Ryde to a $400 million apartment block in Chippendale. We visited the Infants Home in Five Dock, headed out to land blocks at Kellyville, a really interesting week. If students were not visited, the employer was contacted and the feedback regarding the students was so positive “an enthusiastic learner”, “delightful”, “charming”, “so helpful, I want to offer him a job”, “can we have him next week too?”
The boys went to a range of industries from the film world to aviation to business, It and finance, law, university and back to primary school, auto, plumbing, electrician and carpentry; Real estate, vet, sports, the list goes on. Back at school this week to focus on their studies. I thank all the parents for your support of your sons work experience, a definite learning venture for them all.
